From the pier, follow your guide on foot into the historical uptown area of Saint John. Prepare your tastes buds as you begin discover the Saint John food scene. Your first stop will be at Wild Flour Sweets & Treats to enjoy a local-flavor cupcake, before heading to Gahan House to sample their local seafood specialty. Then head over to Java Moose, to enjoy coffee in true Saint John style, sweetened with delicious maple syrup.
Continue through the original wrought-iron gates of the Old City Market, where you’ll find stalls offering locally produced food. Sample Dulse, a deep purple sea vegetable, and a sweet treat of creamy maple butter. Next, it’s time to sample the delicious Maple Pecan Bianca pizza, and although pizza originates from Italy, it’s a firm favourite with the locals in Saint Johns.
To round off your tour, you’ll make your way to a popular bar to relax with a glass of wine and then to Beavertails, to sample a freshly baked, maple-glazed pastry, before walking back to the pier.

This tour will operate on foot and it has limited places. Early booking is advised. Participants on this tour must be aged 19 years and over. This tour involves 2½-3 hours of leisurely walking over varying terrain, which includes some steps and slight inclines. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended. The venues and menus are subject to change and may vary depending on the time of the year. It is advisable to bring a jacket or umbrella in case of rain.
