Destinations to explore

Always on the hunt for foodie haunts? Inspired by awesome architecture? From Hamburg to Guernsey – this corner of the world is bursting with local quirks, history, culture, fine wines and plenty of good times.

Bruges (tours from Zeebrugge), Belgium

Fancy a treat? Look out for the orange and red cocoa bean motif, it’ll be one of the Bruges Guild of Chocolatiers. Thirsty? Sample some local beers at a cosy bar or brewery, but don’t try to tackle them all – there are over 1,000 varieties!

St Peter Port, Guernsey

Open your eyes and cover your ears when visiting the deceptively large Castle Cornet, which guards St Peter Port and houses five museums and four period gardens. The Noonday Gun is fired by costumed soldiers daily.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Hop on a small riverboat (or hire a pedalo) and see this mesmerizing city from its 165 waterways. Jump off at the Heineken® brewery to quench your thirst, and visit the Anne Frank House for a fascinating and humbling tour.

Hamburg, Germany

Germany’s ‘Gateway to the world’ has more bridges than Venice and Amsterdam combined (over 2,300). See the baroque St Michaelis Church or pay homage at the Kaiserkeller club, where The Beatles cut their teeth.

Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Discover cutting edge architecture – from the reimagining of the former docklands at Kop van Zuid, to the iconic Erasmus Bridge. Or, if you want to get a feel for Rotterdam of old, a visit to the picturesque port of Delfshaven is a must.

Cherbourg, France

Cherbourg’s must-see landmarks include The Basilica of the Holy Trinity and the Museum of Liberation, which offers WWII insight and stunning views. Don’t forget the city's must-try delicacies; creamy cheeses and sumptuous French wines!

Experiences on shore

With year-round sailings there’s ample opportunity to soak up the best the seasons have to offer.

Guernsey by bike

Your route will take you along the West Coast road of Guernsey, including Catioroc, which is rich in tales of witches and fairies, the charming working harbour of Portelet, and ‘Ruette tranquilles’ – tiny lanes where horses and bicycles take priority.

The Beatles, beer and bratwurst

You'll pass by the century-old Warehouse Quarter, Speicherstadt, City Hall and the Aussen-Alster, as well as the theatre and nightlife mile. Plus see where the band played their first concert as ‘The Beatles’ at the Indra Club, on 17 August 1960.

Evening scenic cruise

Cruise through Amsterdam in style on an evening canal cruise, sampling local cheese and wine as you go. See the famous crescent-shaped tree-lined Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht canals, and the well-known Anne Frank House.

Mont Saint Michel

You’ll ascend through twisted cobblestoned walkways, passing old houses, restaurants and tiny boutiques. Once inside you’ll discover the ways of the monks by visiting their famous dining hall, and the beautiful gothic cloister.

Leisurely Rotterdam

Take a shot of the impressive Van Nelle factory – a UNESCO World Heritage Site; and the fascinatingly curious Cube Houses. During a guided walk you’ll explore the famous windmills, museums and fine merchant warehouses too.

Bruges on your own (from Zeebrugge)

Bruges is yours to enjoy independently at your leisure. Perhaps you’ll climb the 365 steps of the 13th century Belfort Tower for city-wide views, quench your thirst at one of the award-winning breweries, or browse the sweet-smelling chocolate shops?
