Changing to a twin or double bed
When you book a P&O Cruises cabin, you can choose between twin and double beds. This is ideal for travellers who have a specific preference for their sleeping arrangements. Depending on the cabin type and grade, twin beds can convert into a king-sized double bed.
Three ways to customise your sleeping arrangements
Online during the booking process: While booking your holiday online, you'll have the option to select your preferred bed configuration after payment, on the booking confirmation page. Simply navigate to the bed configuration section and choose the option that best suits your travel party – twin beds or a king-sized bed.
After booking: If you've already booked your cruise, log in to My P&O Cruises and navigate down the homepage to ‘My cabin’, where you’ll see the option to change your bed configuration (depending on the specific cabin and sailing you’ve chosen).
- By calling our Customer Contact Centre: Call us on 0344 338 8003 and the advisor will be happy to help you change your bed configuration to ensure a restful holiday.
Please note: Depending on cabin availability and type, changing bed configurations may not always be possible. For example, if there are four guests in your cabin, you may be unable to choose a king-sized bed if the pull-down beds are in use. However, we'll do our best to accommodate your preferences whenever possible. Please see cabin configurations for more than two guests below for more information.
Changing beds for solo travellers
- We have single cabins for solo travellers.
- If you have already booked a single cabin, you cannot change your cabin’s bed type from a single to a double.
- To book a room with a double bed, choose a standard cabin.
- For more information on booking as a solo traveller, see our article here.
Cabins with fixed beds
- The beds in most cabins on each ship can be converted from two twins to a double bed or vice versa.
- However, some exceptions exist where the beds are fixed as twins or doubles.
- Within the deck plans, please review the cabin notes and look for the relevant symbol when locating beds that are fixed as twins or doubles.
Please be aware that if you book a room with fixed beds, we cannot change the bed type in that cabin.
Bed arrangement for cabins of 2 + guests
When you book a cabin for more than two people, depending on your ship, you can select a specific cabin arrangement depending on availability.
Please review the cabin notes in the deck plans and look for the following symbols when locating your desired cabin configuration:
On Arcadia:
On Arvia:
On Aurora:
On Azura:
On Britannia:
On Iona:
On Ventura:
If you’d like to know more about cabins for guests of more than two people, please see our article ‘What does a three- or four-bed cabin look like?’ for more information.
