<h2>How do you classify children and infants?&nbsp;</h2><p>Airlines have different travel policies for adults, children and infants:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Those aged under two at the time of travel are classed as infants</li><li>Guests aged between two and 11 years of age are classed as children</li><li>Anyone aged 12 years and over is classed as an adult.</li></ul>

<h2>Are flights for children and infants included in the cost of my fly-cruise holiday?</h2><p>Economy class flights from/to the UK are included for the whole party named on your booking, including children and infants. Please be advised that all children and infants must pay for additional air supplements for regional airports.</p>


Aircraft seating

<h2>Aircraft seating</h2><p>Seating for infants varies by airline, route and ticket type.  However, airlines aim to seat children and infants as close to their parents/guardians as possible. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you pre-book seats for your whole party.</p><ul><li>Children and infants will be sat with at least one adult on your booking.</li><li>*If you wish to guarantee that your whole party will sit together, seats must be purchased via the Flight Seat Booker tool on <a href="/my-pocruises">My P&amp;O Cruises</a> 14 weeks before departure.</li><li>Pre-purchasing seats will be at an additional charge for all guests, regardless of age.</li><li>Sky cots and bassinets are unavailable on our charter flights, and all infants will be allocated their own seat (infants must be sat on their parent's lap for take-off and landing). For scheduled flights, please refer to the airline's website for information on car seats, sky cots and bassinets. </li><li>Scheduled airlines will allow infants to travel on an adult’s lap for the duration of the flight (adults must be over 16 years of age)</li></ul><p>  *Please note, this will depend on your flight type. <h2>Infant car seats (TUI Airways, Norse Atlantic Airways and Virgin Atlantic chartered flights)</h2><p>*As all infants are allocated a seat on the aircraft, you may take a car seat, providing it meets the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Must be less than 16 inches wide</li><li>Must have a label showing it is certified for use on an aircraft (most common reference is ECER44-03)</li><li>It is in good working order and is fitted with a single-release type harness</li><li>Only aft-facing car seats are permitted on board TUI Airways aircraft and Virgin Atlantic aircrafts</li></ul><p>*Please always refer to your flight confirmation or the airlines website for full details. &nbsp;</p>

Pushchairs

<h2>Pushchairs</h2><ul><li>You are permitted to take pushchairs on your flight. They are classed as 'free baggage'; you will not be charged for them.</li><li>Your pushchair will be labelled at check-in, and you will then be allowed to take it through security and to departures.</li><li>Upon boarding the aircraft, your pushchair will be taken from you and placed in the aircraft hold.</li><li>You can either collect the pushchair from the tarmac or it can be taken to the ship for you, along with your hold luggage.
