What is the best cabin location for me?
Each P&O Cruises ship offers a range of cabin types to suit different needs and budgets. Whether you’re travelling alone, as a family or with a group, here’s what to consider when choosing your cabin.

Choosing the right cabin location
When you book a P&O Cruises Select Price holiday, you can choose the exact location of your cabin, subject to availability. If you haven’t booked a Select Price holiday, or you don’t wish to choose the location of your cabin, we’ll allocate a cabin to you.
Allocated cabins
Our ships have something for everyone, and any allocated cabin will be suitable for your party size.
But if you’d like to choose exactly where you’ll be — whether that’s close to the action or somewhere more peaceful – here’s what to consider when deciding.
Families
Our family suites can accommodate up to four or six people, depending on the suite you choose. Well-equipped and with plenty of space for storage and relaxation, they’re the perfect home for families.
Family Suites are available on Azura and Ventura, and consist of a balcony cabin with an internal cabin attached. This cabin accommodates a minimum of four and a maximum of six guests. On Arvia and Iona, we offer Family Sea view Suites. These don't have balconies and can sleep up to four guests.

Large groups
Our cabins can accommodate up to four, or in some cases six, guests. But for large bookings, we recommend multiple cabins. For large group bookings, you can book up to three cabins on one booking online.
Just use the option to ‘add another cabin’ during your booking process to ensure your whole group gets plenty of space, a great night’s sleep and can enjoy their cruise to the fullest.
We offer a group cruise booking deal for parties of 16 or more guests. If you wish to book more than three cabins in one booking, or want to learn more about our group bookings, please contact our Customer Contact Centre.
Solo travellers
In every cabin, no matter where you choose on the ship, you’ll have a comfortable bed for the perfect night’s sleep after a long day exploring, your own en-suite bathroom, and plenty of space to store your belongings.
Depending on your cruise and ship, our single rooms are available in various categories, including Inside, Sea View, and Balcony cabins. However, if you’d like more space or prefer to treat yourself, we can offer larger rooms with king-sized beds and a stunning sea view.

Light sleepers
If you're looking for a quieter location with less movement, consider a cabin on a lower deck that is centrally located. This area will be least affected by the ship’s motion as it sails.
You’ll also be further away from high-traffic areas, with less noise and disturbance throughout the day, especially during resting hours.
For those who really value a great night’s sleep, you should also consider avoiding cabins near crew quarters, service areas, maintenance rooms and public restrooms.
Best views
For the best view, choose a Sea View or Balcony cabin without any obstructions. Forward sections are ideal for witnessing the stunning views of each port as you dock. The aft sections offer great docking views too, as well as the endless ocean views behind you.
Forward cabins are in the front area of the ship, letting you spot the horizon first and see everything the captain sees. In these rooms, you may experience some movement, particularly during turns and positioning.
Aft cabins are at the back of the ship, giving you an amazing, uninterrupted view. Bear in mind that the back of the ship means you might be closer to the thruster noises.
