Power outlets
Across our ships, we primarily use standard UK three-pin plugs. You’ll find these in your cabins and in public areas.
Some P&O Cruises ships (including Arvia and Iona) also have USB ports next to the beds.
We don’t recommend using multi-plugs or surge protectors. If you need additional sockets, speak to a member of the crew.
Safety first Items with heating elements, such as irons, kettles and coffee machines, aren’t allowed in cabins. Hairdryers and straighteners are fine, but should always be used with care. |
Electrical supply
The standard electrical supply in the United Kingdom is 50Hz (cycles) and 240V. The supply on board is:
- Arcadia - 220V / 110V / 60Hz
- Arvia - 230V / 60Hz
- Aurora - 220V / 60Hz
- Azura - 230V / 115V / 60Hz
- Britannia - 230V / 120V / 60Hz
- Iona - 230V / 60Hz
- Ventura - 230V / 115V / 60Hz
These voltages are suitable for charging items such as laptops and cameras.
Can I charge my shaver?
Shaver sockets are in cabin bathrooms on Arcadia, Aurora, Azura and Britannia.
On Britannia, the shaver socket is a US two-pin socket, so you’ll need an adaptor for UK plugs.
On Arvia and Iona, shaver sockets are only available in suites. If you’re not in a suite, you can request an adaptor from your cabin steward.
