In the days of St Paul, ancient Corinth’s Forum was bigger than its counterpart in Rome. Explore the remains of the beautifully-paved Lechaion Road and 6th century BC Doric Temple of Apollo and wander through the local museum to admire artefacts up close. With free time for shopping, why not take home a memento of this special place?

The main event of this experience is the journey on the spectacular Corinth Canal. Four miles long, 75 feet wide and 26 feet deep, it’s a marvel of engineering. As you glide along the serene waterway the sheer walls climb up to the sky either side of you. If you’re lucky and traffic permits, you’ll even get to sail back in the opposite direction before you sit down at a restaurant to tuck into a variety of Greek dishes with wine and coffee.
