Travel through the Royal Naval Dockyard into Somerset Village and cross the world's smallest drawbridge, before heading to Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. Thought to be one of only two cast-iron lighthouses in existence, it was built in 1846 and towers nearly 40m above sea level. Continue along the coast, admiring the pink sand and turquoise waters of the South Shore beaches, to St George's, the first English settlement. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Centre, its narrow winding alleys and cobbled streets are lined with centuries-old colonial buildings. Then it's on to the modern-day capital, Hamilton, to browse the famous Front Street boutiques.
