Strap on your walking boots and prepare to really ‘earn’ amazing views of La Palma’s extraordinary landscape.

Setting off from the village of Los Canarios, follow your guide down the 3,000-year-old San Antonio volcano crater. Traversing the cinder trails you’ll hike up the majestic red mountain, Teneguia, the youngest volcano in the Canaries. Feel the warmth of the magma and smell the sulphur filtering through the rocks in certain places and be wowed by spectacular vistas over the island’s south and west coasts when you reach the highest peak.

Following the lava streams, head down to the southern-most tip of La Palma to the patchwork of the saltpans and Fuencaliente Lighthouse. Behold mesmerising panoramic views out to the Atlantic and if you fancy a refreshing dip, indulge at the small bay below which is lapped by crystal-clear waters.
