This month Iona, our first Excel class ship, will be in Rotterdam for her first refit, where she’ll be treated to a refurbishment that will bring some light upgrades and new features to enjoy on your next holiday.

An exciting new addition will adorn Iona’s SkyDome: a brand new SeaScreen. Similar to the screen on Iona’s sister ship, Arvia, it will enhance live music, game shows, performances and entertainment experiences. The seating in SkyDome is getting an upgrade too, with 360 new cream-coloured wicker chairs. At Oasis Spa we’ll be launching a new on-board wellness and beauty experience with skincare brand Elemis, with expert-led events and interactive sessions.

Elsewhere, we’re bringing in more sun loungers and recliners on deck 8. Carpets will replaced and some seating will be upholstered in Coral and Pearl Restaurants, The Quays, Horizon Restaurant and Vistas, while carpets will be replaced in the mid lift lobby, stairs and alleyway on deck 12, and guest alleyways on decks 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17. In the casino you’ll find a new electronic table game, and in the photo studio we’ll be adding a new viewing space and studio. In our shops, the flooring will be replaced, and premium watches will be in the spotlight with new branded spaces for Tudor, Breitling, Rado and Longines, plus extended space for the evolution of Rolex Maritime pre-owned timepieces. Plus, the gem bar will be transformed into a Wonders of Tanzania boutique, paying homage to the rare and majestic Tanzanite gemstone.

Wherever Iona takes you next, we hope these changes help bring a little something extra to your holiday.
