So as a nod to the award – and as a celebration of holiday magic – we asked our crew across the fleet: 

What’s your most memorable P&O Cruises moment?

MEMORABLE MOMENT: There are so many memorable moments on a World Cruise. For me, personally, it was when I took more than 200 guests onto the top deck of Arcadia in the pristine night skies of the Southern Hemisphere and asked the Bridge to switch off the lights to show them the true beauty of the night sky. They saw stars and constellations they had never seen before through a telescope, leaving them in a state of true wonder.

MEMORABLE MOMENT: There’s nothing quite like spending the evening dining in The Glass House as the ship glides through the Caribbean waters. You can sit with a perfect glass of wine in hand and delicious food on your plate as the sun slowly sets, warm shades of orange and gold across the sky reflecting on the sea… The breathtaking sunset creates a moment of pure serenity that lingers long after the last light fades.

MEMORABLE MOMENT: I like to start my day with a walk on the Promenade Deck from the forward to the aft on my way to breakfast. I soak up the beautiful views and get some fresh air while enjoying a different landscape almost every day. Sometimes you can spot a pod of dolphins or maybe a rainbow or the odd turtle in the middle of the Med!

MEMORABLE MOMENT: I’d always recommend Headliners Theatre shows, particularly our newest show Beyond Reality, where we have a space ship appear and fly around the stage – it always gives me chills when it appears and I hear the reaction of the crowd.

MEMORABLE MOMENT: In September last year on board Aurora, we sailed the east coast of America. The iconic sail into New York City, seeing the famous city skyline appear on the horizon and sailing past the Statue of Liberty and into the heart of Manhattan, is such an incredible moment.

MEMORABLE MOMENT: One of the most memorable moments I’ve experienced with guests on board is when we did a silent disco up in the Crystal Pool on Aurora during a Norway cruise and the Northern Lights came out. Seeing everyone dancing and singing away underneath the Northern Lights and watching crew members who have never seen snow before was something I think everyone should be lucky enough to experience at some point in their life!

MEMORABLE MOMENT: What makes Azura special is the feeling you get when coming on board and instantly switching off everyday life – the endless traffic, the city noise, stressing about what to eat or if you’re going to be late for work. Whether enjoying the open decks, the atmosphere in the bars and restaurants or just the view of the ocean and the Greek islands in the heat of the early morning, it always feels like a proper escape.

MEMORABLE MOMENT: After a long day exploring a new port, nothing feels better than returning to a cabin that’s been perfectly prepared for you. Fresh towels, neatly made beds, and sometimes a towel animal from the housekeeping team make you feel like you’ve stepped into your own private sanctuary after a day of adventure. It’s in that quiet moment, sitting on the balcony and watching the sun sink into the sea, that the day truly feels complete. Sometimes it’s these small, thoughtful touches that make you feel truly cared for. Seeing the joy on guests’ faces when they notice these details reminds me that every corner of the ship can create magical moments.
