For the second year running, P&O Cruises is incredibly proud to partner with The Pride of Britain Awards, where the nation’s unsung heroes are honoured for their courage, kindness and extraordinary actions. From incredible campaigners and fundraisers to inspirational children and acts of outstanding bravery, Britain’s best and brightest are recognised and given the acclaim they so richly deserve.
The Awards, now in its 27th year, will be held at a glittering ceremony in London and presented by long-time hosts Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo. It’s a night of powerful stories and red-carpet glamour that has become a national institution, attended by winners, royals, dignitaries and celebrities.

This year’s ceremony will air on 22 October, and we’ll be there to capture all the emotions, celebrations and magical moments with our red-carpet host, Angellica Bell. Angellica first graced our screens as a presenter in the early 2000s on CBBC and has since co-hosted beloved British TV programmes such as The One Show and appeared on national radio channels such as BBC Radio 2, Magic and Hits. She was our red-carpet host at the BAFTA TV Awards earlier this year, and we have no doubt she’ll bring the same infectious energy to the Pride of Britain red carpet.
As part of our partnership, the P&O Cruises Inspiration Award will be awarded for the second time at the Pride of Britain Awards. The award honours a person or group whose work, courage, deeds and selflessness have had a positive impact on others. Last year’s winner was Javeno Mclean, a personal trainer from Manchester who works with people living with life-changing illnesses and disabilities for free. Javeno has touched the lives of so many people, and his story touched the hearts of the Pride of Britain judges who selected him from an abundance of inspirational nominees put forward by people across the country. We can’t wait to see who will win this year’s award.

Exclusively for adults

P&O Cruises and Pride of Britain are perfect partners. We share a love for bringing people together to create lifelong memories, wondrous moments and unforgettable stories. Recounting and sharing our stories – and listening to the stories of others – helps us to connect, find common ground and see the world in a new light.
Our partnership with Pride of Britain is one we’re incredibly proud of. The Awards – and of course, the winners – embody the best of British values, and it is a privilege to be part of a journey that celebrates their incredible contributions.
We can’t wait for all the joy and emotion of this year’s event.
The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards with P&O Cruises will air on Thursday 22 October on ITV. Stay tuned to our blog and social channels and join us on the journey.
