Are gratuities included in dining?

Yes. You can enjoy an extensive range of yummy food all in the comfort of your cabin.

Do P&O Cruises offer room service?

Once you've booked with us, you'll have access to My P&O Cruises, where you can manage your upcoming holiday. As part of this, you’ll be able to make dining arrangements for your group – such as booking speciality dining or telling us you preferred Club Dining* seating time and choosing the right table size for your party.
To find out more about booking speciality dining for a group, read our Help Hub article: How do I make a group dining booking?
To request a table together in your main dining room (included in your fare) with family or friends on your cruise who have booked separately, link your bookings to let us know you are sailing as a group. If you booked directly with us, use the link bookings form on My P&O Cruises, entering the booking reference and last name of the lead guest on the other booking.
Once you've linked bookings, if everyone in your group has selected the same Club Dining seating time and table size preferences, we'll do our best to seat you together. Priority for dining together is given to those who have booked on our Select Price fare type.
For a step-by-step guide to linking booking references, please read our Help Hub article: How do I link multiple cabin bookings?

*Club Dining is an option to dine at the same time and table each evening. Club Dining is not available on board Iona or Arvia, which instead offer Freedom Dining. With Freedom Dining, you arrive at the restaurant and wait to be seated or join a virtual queue (on selected ships) and arrive at the restaurant when your table is ready.

How can I arrange dining for my group?

Wherever possible, we like to make sure everyone’s catered for. There’s a range of vegetarian and gluten-free meals available on all menus in most restaurants, so you’ll still have lots of choice. There’s also options available for vegetarians, pescatarians, those with lactose and dairy intolerances and also those with gluten, wheat and coeliac intolerances. Please contact us before your cruise and let us know of your requirements so we can make arrangements for you.

How does P&O Cruises accommodate guests with special dietary requirements or gluten and other food allergies?

You can find out all about our drinks options here. Drinks on a P&O Cruises holiday are competitively priced (similar to what you'd expect to pay in your local pub), and we offer a variety of drinks packages.
Log in to My P&O Cruises up to three days before your holiday to get the best drinks package for you. Or if you’d like to wait until you’re on board, you can get your drinks package within the first two nights of your holiday.

How much do drinks cost on P&O Cruises?

We offer a range of dining options to choose from. Included in the price of your holiday are our Freedom and Club dining restaurants, or you can choose to treat yourself and take a seat in one of our speciality restaurants for a little extra.

What are the dining options on a P&O Cruises holiday?

Freedom dining means that you’re not allocated a set time to dine – you can eat at whatever time suits you. All you need to do is join a queue via My Holiday whenever you’re ready and you’ll be told when your table’s available.

What is Freedom Dining on a P&O Cruises holiday?

There are a few options when it comes to booking dining on board. Some venues will be available to book 120 days before you set sail by logging in to My P&O Cruises. If you’d like to book on board, simply use the My Holiday portal during your cruise to browse our restaurants and book your table.

Yes, refreshments are available at both Ocean Cruise Terminal and Mayflower Cruise Terminal in Southampton.

Are there refreshments available at Southampton's cruise terminals?

Usually on a cruise from Southampton, you have at least one full day at sea before you arrive at your first destination, although there are exceptions. We offer a day-by-day view of each of our holidays, so you can check how soon you'll arrive at any destination on your cruise before you even book.

How long does it take to get from Southampton to the first destination?

All of Southampton's cruise terminals are centrally located and easily accessible from major UK cities by rail, road and air. Taxis, including Uber, can drop off and pick up from each cruise terminal, and Southampton Central Railway Station is also just a short taxi transfer away. If you choose our Select Price when booking, you'll have the option of choosing a free return coach transfer to Southampton or free parking at your cruise terminal, both of which need pre-booking in advance. Southampton Airport is also connected to the city centre by direct train and bus, so it's easy to reach the cruise terminals if you're flying into Southampton to meet your P&O Cruises ship too.

What are the transfer options to get to Southampton cruise terminals?

There are no size limits for liquid toiletries on P&O Cruises holidays from Southampton. This means you can bring all of your favourite full size toiletries. We allow guests to bring 1 litre of wine or champagne, per person, on board.

What is the liquid allowance on a P&O Cruises holiday departing from Southampton?

Arcadia, Arvia, Aurora, Britannia, Iona and Ventura all offer cruises sailing from Southampton.
