Adult Pools
The minimum age to use adult-only pools is 18.
Children&nbsp;
Children are welcome to use the friendly family pools. Due to public health regulations, children in nappies, swim nappies, pull-ups, or who are not thoroughly toilet trained are only permitted to use designated pools, which are:
Arvia - Splash Valley and the Panorama Pool
Azura - Children’s pools and the Coral Pool
Britannia -The Reef Adventure Zone and the Lido Pool
Iona - Splash Valley and the Panorama Pool
Ventura -Children’s pool and the Beachcomber Pool

Arcadia
Neptune pool - (Indoor / outdoor pool with retractable roof) - 8.6 metres x 4 metres, 1.8 metres deep. Located on Lido Deck. Has 2 steel ladders with 4 wooden steps for each ladder
Aquarius pool - (Outdoor pool) - 7.2 metres x 4.2 metres, 2.2 metres deep. Located on Lido Deck. Has 2 steel ladders with 5 wooden steps for each ladder.
Hydro Pool - (Indoor pool, part of the spa). Located on Lido Deck. Has 8 steps leading down into the pool.

Riviera pool - (Outdoor pool, adults only) - 8.45 metres x 5.7 metres, 1 metre deep. Located on A Deck. Has 2 ladders with 5 steps for each ladder.&nbsp;
Crystal pool - (Indoor / outdoor pool with retractable roof) - 8.2 metres x 5.7 metres, 1 metre deep. Located on Lido Deck. Has 2 ladders with 4 steps for each ladder and 10 steps into the water.
Terrace pool - (Outdoor pool- reserved for families) - 7.7 metres x 4 metres, 1.2 metres deep. Located on D Deck. Has 2 ladders with 4 steps for each ladder
Azura
Oasis pool - (Outdoor pool, adults only) - 1 metre to 1.8 metres deep. 9.5 metres long x 6 metres wide. Located on Aqua Deck. Has 2 sets of 8 steps into the water.
Aqua pool - (outdoor pool) - 1.6 metres to 2.2 metres deep. 11 metres long x 4.6 metres wide. Located on Lido Deck. Has 2 ladders, 1 with 7 steps and 1 with 5 steps
Coralpool - (Outdoor pool) - 1.6 metres to 2.2 metres deep. 10.5 metres long x 4.6 metres wide. Located on Lido Deck. Has 1 ladder with 7 steps
Terrace pool - (Outdoor pool, adults only) - 1.7 metres deep. 6 metres long x 6 metres wide. Located on Riviera Deck. Has 7 steps into the water.
Children's splash pool - 0.38 metres deep. Located on Aqua Deck. Has 1 ladder with 3 steps up and 3 steps down into the pool.
Paddling pool - 0.25 metres deep. Located on Aqua Deck. Has 2 ladders with 4 steps up and 4 steps down on each.
Britannia
Riviera pool - (Outdoor pool). 1.65 metres to 2.25 metres deep. Located on Lido Deck. Has two ladders, one with 5 steps and another one with 7 steps.
Lido pool - (Outdoor pool). 1.65 metres to 2.25 metres deep. Located on Lido Deck. Has 10 downwards steps and a ladder with 7 steps.
Serenity pool - (Outdoor pool). 1.65 to 2.25 meters deep. Located on Sun Deck - adult only. Has 7 steps.
Terrace pool - (Outdoor pool). 1.1 meters deep. Located on Sun Deck aft. You have 7 steps to climb to reach the pool then a ladder with 5 steps to get in.
Hydro therapy pool (Charges apply) - (Indoor pool part of the spa). 1.15 metres deep. Located on Deck 5. You have 2 steps to get up to the pool and then 9 steps to get into the pool.
Iona
There will be four swimming pools on Iona, excluding the spa. In general, the deep end of the pool will be 94cm when at sea/140cm when in port. The shallow end will be 84cm when at sea/130cm when in port.
Beachcomber pool - (Outdoor pool) - 6.95 metres x 3.4 metres.
Panorama pool - (Outdoor pool) - 6.9 metres x 3 metres
Skydome pool - (Indoor pool) - 11.5 metres x 3.8 metres
Infinity pool - (Outdoor pool) - 8 metres x 3.8 metres
With the exception of the thalassotherapy pool, all pools are accessed via ladders (all pools are fitted with pool hoist sockets). The Skydome pool will be covered for special staged events.
Ventura
Oasis (Endless) pool -(Outdoor pool, exclusively for adults has a current which you can swim against. There is no need to book as the pool can be accessed from the Sun deck) - 1 metre to 1.8 metres depth. 9.5 metres long x 6 metres wide. Located on Sun Deck. Has 8 steps into the water.
Laguna pool - (Outdoor pool) - 1.6 metres to 2.2 metres depth. 11 metres long x 4.6 metres wide. Located on Lido Deck. Has 1 ladder with 7 steps.
Beechcomber pool - (Indoor / outdoor pool with retractable roof)- 1.6 metres to 2.2 metres deep. 10.5 metres long x 4.6 metres wide. Located on Lido Deck. Has 1 ladder with 7 steps.
Terrace pool - (Outdoor pool)- 1.7 metres deep. Located on Riviera Deck. Has 7 steps into the water.
Plunge pool - (Children's pool) - 1.1 metres deep. Located on Sun Deck. Has 1 ladder with 4 steps.
Splash pool -(Children's pool) - 0.25 metres deep. Located on Sun Deck. Has 1 ladder with 1 step.

How big are the pools?

The use of the main pools on all ships is complimentary.
On Azura and Ventura, the Oasis pools are in The Retreat. While use of these pools is complimentary, the other facilities in The Retreat are chargeable. Full details are available on board from the Spa Reception.
On Arcadia, Arvia and Iona the hydropool is part of the Thermal Suite and is, therefore, not complimentary. The cost of this will be confirmed once you are on board.
On Britannia, the hydro pool is part of the Thermal Suite and is, therefore, not complimentary. The two jacuzzis within The Retreat will incur a charge. Full details are available on board from the Spa Reception.

Is there a charge to use the pools?

The temperature of our swimming pools is regularly monitored, and we maintain them at an average of 24°C.

What's the temperature of the pools?

Opening hours for all pools and whirlpool spas will be confirmed once you're on board, as these can vary when you're at sea or on shore days. Pools and whirlpool spas may be closed during maintenance and inclement weather conditions.

Pools for all guests

Our family-friendly pools offer plenty of space to splash, relax and refuel. Enjoy poolside dining, fun activities and stunning sea views - perfect for making unforgettable memories together.

We have dedicated splash pools and paddling pools for kids of all ages. From gentle paddling to fun water adventures, there's something to keep every child safely entertained.

Discover our pools exclusively for adults for a peaceful escape. Relax in style with stunning sea views or, for a little extra, you could combine your swim with a spa treatment for ultimate indulgence.

Enjoy refreshing solo time in any of our suitable pools or whirlpool spas. Relax, unwind and connect with fellow travellers. Selected ships will also have dedicated activities for solo travellers.

Our accessible swimming pools allow everyone to enjoy a dip. All our ships feature a pool hoist (136kg limit) and a crew to assist with hoist operation. Book 24 hours in advance at Reception.

We're committed to making your cruise enjoyable. All of our ships offer pool hoists (136kg weight limit) for easy access. Advance booking at Reception is required. Our crew assists with the hoist operation. The following pools with shallow ends are designated for hoist use: Arcadia (Neptune), Arvia (all), Aurora (Crystal), Azura (Aqua), Britannia (Riviera, Serenity), Iona (all), Ventura (Laguna). Please note that our crew cannot assist with getting in or out of the hoist.

Our pools are a place for fun, but safety is our priority. All pools are unsupervised, so children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Some ships have designated pools exclusively for adults, while children who are not fully toilet trained or wear swim nappies should only use specific baby-friendly pools. Our pool teams regularly maintain the pools with fresh water and minimal chlorine to ensure a clean, safe and enjoyable swimming environment.

Swimming aids are permitted in our pools. However, any other inflatables are not allowed. For your convenience, pool towels are readily available on the pool deck, so you can always have a fresh towel on hand for a relaxing swim.

Pools on board

Dive into a world of fun with our stunning main pools. Big screens for movie nights on Arvia and Azura, and lively entertainment with music and quizzes across the fleet. We have pools with retractable roofs on Arcadia, Arvia, Aurora and Ventura for you to enjoy whatever the weather. The SkyDome on Arvia and Iona offers an immersive experience with spectacular shows, live performances and acrobatics, transforming your pool day into an unforgettable event from sunrise to sunset.

Keep kids entertained with the dedicated paddling pools and splash areas for younger guests on our family-friendly ships, Azura and Ventura have children's splash pools and paddling pools near the kids' clubs, for little ones to enjoy. Our rejuvenating hydrotherapy pools are part of our Thermal Suites and Oasis Spa and Salon. On some of our ships, for a little extra, hydrotherapy pools and Thermal Suites offer a serene experience on board. Meanwhile, Azura and Ventura feature complimentary Oasis pools within their Oasis Spa and Salon, giving you the chance to take a refreshing dip before or after your treatment.

Poolside features

Our poolside experience offers something for everyone. You can enjoy refreshing drinks from the swim-up bar on Arvia or the poolside bars on our other ships, and savour delicious bites from grills, pizzerias and ice cream parlours. Relax on loungers or in cabanas while soaking up the sun. Catch a movie on the poolside big screens on Arvia and Azura, day or night, and enjoy live music or a poolside quizacross the fleet. And even if the weather doesn't play ball, some of our ships have retractable roofs to keep the poolside fun going.

Depending on which cruise you choose, you usually have at least one day at sea before you get to the first port. That means you have at least a full day at sea to get used to your ship and have as much fun as you can squeeze in.

How long does it take to get from Southampton to the first destination? 

Southampton welcomes more than four million visitors each year and is easily accessible from major UK cities by rail, road and air. It’s entirely up to you. You might prefer to drive and park at or near the cruise terminal. Parking at the terminal needs to be pre-booked. Alternatively, why not hop on a coach or train and let someone else do the driving while you relax. And if you live further away, you could always fly into Southampton airport and grab a taxi to the terminal.

What are the transfer options to get to Southampton docks?

There are no size limits for liquid toiletries on P&amp;O Cruises holidays from Southampton. This means you can bring all of your favourite full size toiletries. We allow guests to bring 1 litre of wine or champagne, per person, on board.
