How do I find and download my cruise boarding pass?

P&O Cruises boarding passes are needed for all of our holidays. This guide explains how to find and download your boarding pass, so you’re ready to board your P&O Cruises ship on the day your cruise begins.

The information in this guide relates to the boarding passes needed to board our ships. If your holiday includes flights, please also read: How do I check in for my flight?

 

 

Online check in opens 21 days before departure

We’ll email the lead guest on your booking when this date arrives. Once you've checked in online and your cabin number has been assigned (no later than 3 days before departure), you'll be able to download your cruise boarding pass from the Online Check-in section of My P&O Cruises.

 

Why is the boarding pass download button still greyed out?

For your boarding passes to be available, three things must happen:

  1. You must complete your ‘Guest information’ in the ‘Before you sail’ section of My P&O Cruises.



  2. You must have been assigned a cabin (please don’t worry if your cabin hasn’t been assigned – it’s common for Saver price cabins to be assigned within this 21-day window)

  3. You must have checked in online for your holiday in My P&O Cruises


     

When all three conditions are met, your boarding passes will be available to download. Just click the ‘download’ button and they’ll download as a PDF file to your device.  

How do I get to My P&O Cruises to download my boarding passes?

From our website, click on ‘My cruises’ in the main menu.

Go to ‘Manage my holiday’ (this is the first option) and click on ‘Booking Summary’.

This will open the log in page for My P&O Cruises.

You’ll need your booking reference to log in. You can find this on any email from us that relates to your holiday.

You can then fill out your guest information and – if online check-in is open – check in for your holiday. Just remember, you’ll only be able to do this from 21 days before sailing, and once your cabin has been assigned. 

How do I check in?

Sign in to your booking in My P&O Cruises and then press the dark blue ‘check in’ button. You’ll then be taken through the steps to check in online. For a more detailed explanation, please see: ‘How do I check in online?'. 


I’m having difficulty uploading a photo in online check-in

Don’t worry. If you can’t upload a photo, you'll still be able to complete online check-in and download your boarding pass. Our crew will take your picture at the cruise terminal. 

I downloaded my boarding passes, but now I can’t find them

Check the ‘downloads folder’ on your device or your web browser. If you still can’t find them, log in to My P&O Cruises and download your boarding passes again. 

My boarding passes aren’t downloading?

Check that you’ve enabled ‘pop-ups’ on your web browser. If you have a pop-up blocker enabled, this could prevent your boarding passes from downloading. 

I’ve downloaded my boarding passes, but some details are wrong

I can’t print my boarding passes as I don’t have a printer

No problem. Just download your boarding passes to your phone and have them ready to show when you arrive at the cruise terminal.

Handy tips

1. Keep your boarding passes on you
Don’t delete your boarding pass or throw it away as soon as you get on board, as you’ll need it to scan in at your muster station (your emergency meeting point on board).

2. Make purchases using your boarding pass
If your cabin isn’t ready when you board the ship, you may use the barcode on your boarding pass to buy food or drinks while you wait.
