Finding fly-cruise options

We offer fly-cruise packages where flights are included in the price of your holiday. Here’s how to find them.

  • Search for fly-cruises: For fly-cruises tailored to your preferences, visit our ‘Find & Book’ page, go to the ‘More filters’ drop-down list and select the ‘Flights included’ option.

  • Default airport: The search results will show flights from London. However, if there’s a promotion with cheaper regional flight supplements, we’ll highlight it in the search results.

  • Select a different airport: In the ‘More filters’ drop-down list, you can choose from a range of regional airports. You can also select an airport on the booking summary page.

For more information, please visit our fly-cruise page here.

More about flights

  • Allocated flight times: You won’t be able to choose specific flight times; these will be allocated approximately six months before departure.

  • Opting out: You can opt out of the included flights within your package and book your own separately. Please keep in mind that flights booked independently won’t be covered by our ATOL protection, and transfers won’t be included.

Additional information about airports

  • London Gatwick: Available on most fly-cruise holidays.

  • Regional airports: Selected cruises offer flights from regional airports, including London Heathrow, London Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, East Midlands, Bristol, Bournemouth, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast.

  • Economy flights: Economy flights to/from the UK are included. The specific airport varies by cruise and departure date. You can amend the airport for an additional charge.

  • Flight confirmation: You’ll receive details of the specific airport, times and dates approximately six months before departure.

  • Embarkation/disembarkation: Transfers to and from the ship are included if you fly on the same day as joining/leaving your ship. You may choose to deviate from your flight, in which case transfers won’t be included and you’ll need to arrange your own.

  • Infant changes: Unless stated otherwise, there’s a charge for infants.

  • Cruise-only options: Some cruises allow you to make your own travel arrangements. Please note: there’s no price reduction if you choose a cruise-only option instead of a flights-included option.

Understanding ‘scheduled’ and ‘charter’ flights

We offer scheduled, charter and group allocation flights, depending on the airline carrier.

  • Scheduled flights: These operate on established airline timetables and typically offer a wider variety of departure airports. This means not all passengers on board the aircraft will be P&O Cruises guests, and the airline itself will manage the flight and bookings.

  • Charter flights: These are reserved exclusively for P&O Cruises guests, often departing from regional airports in the UK. They may offer more convenient departure times or cater to specific cruise itineraries.

  • Group allocations: We may sometimes buy a group of seats with an airline to ensure that we’re able to provide guests with a flight that matches their cruise itinerary.

What is ‘deviating’ and is there a cost?

Deviating refers to choosing to fly independently rather than using the flights included in your P&O Cruises package. You may choose this option if you wish to extend your holiday and spend longer at your embarkation/disembarkation destination.

While this offers flexibility, it's important to consider that:

  • You'll be responsible for the cost of the separate flight.

  • You'll need to arrange your own transportation to/from the embarkation port.

  • Any hotel stays before or after your cruise included in your P&O Cruises package might not be applicable.

Fly-cruise holidays are available in 2024, 2025 and 2026
