Sit back and enjoy the sights on your narrated ride to the Aarhus Cathedral. You'll pass the University, Botanical Garden, Music Hall, and one of Europe’s largest art museums – the contemporary ARoS Art Museum, with its iconic rainbow-coloured roof installation. Dating from 1190, the Aarhus Cathedral is one of the oldest redbrick buildings in Jutland. Stretching over 300 feet long, with a 310-foot-high bell tower, it’s also Denmark’s longest and tallest church. The inside is no less spectacular, with over 200 14th and 15th-century frescoes, and a magnificent 16th-century carved altar. You’ll also visit the Den Gamle By Museum and witness a recreated, traditional Danish village. Staff in period costumes bring the village to life with more than 75 historic structures collected from around Denmark, including artisan workshops, residences and a post office.
