Guided City Walk & Norwegian Center of Mountaineering
Slip on your walking shoes and head into the charming lanes of Åndalsnes, with your informative guide who will entertain you with local legends, history and culture. This small but cosy town, snuggled on the banks of Romsdalsfjorden, is overflowing with beautiful mountains, valleys, and waterfalls. Although severely bombed during WW2, the town boasts a number of older gems, including the Swedish Houses, octagonal Grytten Kirke church, Åndalsnes Train Chapel, and Viking Age remnants. At the Norwegian Mountaineering Centre, you’ll learn about the evolution of the sport through interesting exhibits and displays, and an exciting multimedia show highlighting extreme outdoor activities.
