It dates back to 1300 and is still located on its original site. This pretty church is one of just 30 stave churches still standing, in a nation that boasted over 1,000 in the 14th century. Soak up the atmosphere and admire the unique wooden columns, or staves, the most recognisable features of medieval Norwegian architecture. Then get ready for awe-inspiring close-up views of the amazing Troll Wall – Trollveggen – Europe's highest vertical rock face, standing 1,010-metres tall.
