Your journey across the island takes you through Bridgetown, where you’ll see the historic parliament buildings. Then a scenic ride through the lush countryside will take you to St John's Parish Church. Perched on a cliff, 250 metres above sea level, the views of coastal St John and the Atlantic Ocean are simply stunning.

This beautiful Gothic-inspired building was constructed in 1836, after the 1831 hurricane destroyed the previous structure built in 1660. The intriguing interior includes a finely carved pulpit made from six different kinds of wood, and an interesting sculpture of the Madonna and Child, with the infant St John.

Continuing on, you’ll come to historical Sunbury Plantation for a visit to the Beautiful Bell House, which is completely made of stone. As you explore the well-manicured grounds you’ll find fine examples of old carts and cultivation machinery that were used in the last century.

After a complimentary drink in this bygone setting, you’ll return to your ship.
