Historic Chefchaouen
After a beautifully scenic drive from Spanish Ceuta on the northernmost tip of Morocco, you’ll reach the spectacular Rif Mountains, where Chefchaouen nestles like a gleaming sapphire in the sun.
The ‘Blue City’ is a visual feast and a photographer’s dream. You’ll instantly see why as you enjoy a guided tour of its romantic cobbled streets, winding stairways and quaint, time-worn houses. Established in 1741, Chefchaouen is considered holy and is home to communities of Berber, Arab and Jewish people, living side by side. You’ll visit the medina (old city) and its bustling market, brimming with spices, fruits, handicrafts and souvenirs.
Afterwards, you’ll enjoy an authentic Moroccan lunch, accompanied by local musicians, before re-boarding your coach for the drive back to Ceuta.
