Eco City Tour, Tukxi Madeira

Hop aboard an eco-friendly Tukxi – a modern-day version of the little cart that was popular with the 1950s dolce vita lifestyle. Head along the harbour front, taking in views of the sea on one side and clusters of houses on green mountains on the other. Travel the narrow, cobbled streets of the Old Town with its beautifully restored houses and quaint local restaurants. Look out for the colourful local ladies dressed in traditional costume, selling the famous bird of paradise flowers, the symbol of the island. Stop for photo opportunities at Socorro viewpoint and Santa Caterina Park for stunning cliff-top and harbour views.
