A Taste of Finland
Discover Helsinki's magnificent architecture with a scenic drive from the bustling harbour to the historic centre. Contemporary highlights include the spectacular modernist Finlandia Hall, designed by Alvar Aalto, and the Sibelius Monument, a striking steel-pipe sculpture dedicated to Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. Architect Carl Ludvig Engel is responsible for many of the city's splendid Neoclassical buildings, including City Hall, the university and Helsinki Cathedral.
At Senate Square, head to a local restaurant to sample some Finnish delicacies including smoked fish, cheese and pastries.
Complete your tour with some free time to explore the square and nearby Market Square, before returning to your ship.
