Travel through the dramatic landscapes and vivid history engrained in this ancient land, and savour a traditional Welsh tea with Bara Brith.

Your Anglesey adventure will take you through an ancient land that was a Druid stronghold long before the Roman and Norman invasions of the 1st millennium AD. Today you’ll see the bi-lingual road signs in English and Welsh, the latter being one of Europe’s oldest surviving languages.

The Isle of Anglesey boasts 100 miles of coastline, which are dotted with long sandy beaches and small harbours, most of which are classified Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The raging currents of the 15-mile-long Menai Strait separate Anglesey from the mainland. Riding along this infamous waterway, you’ll get glimpses of the Victorian Menai bridges, as well as Snowdonia’s peaks.

You’ll also encounter a host of quaint villages, like charming Aberffraw and Beaumaris, with its majestic castle and pretty harbour. During your journey, you’ll stop for a traditional Welsh Tea, complete with succulent slices of Bara Brith, the famous speckled bread of Wales, and Welsh cakes from the griddle.
