Cosmopolitan Mykonos town rises in a natural amphitheatre style, set around a half moon bay. The small narrow streets are a labyrinth of whitewashed walls, and you’ll certainly appreciate why the layout is so confusing, as it was designed to foil attacking pirates in days gone by.
After a short coach transfer, you’ll be taken on a guided walking tour through the maze of streets, heading towards the Maritime Museum.
Your walk will continue through the town, pausing for photo stops along the way. Admire the islands Church of Paraportiani, and Little Venice that is said to be one of the most photographed neighbourhoods in Europe. During your walk, a stop will be made at a local venue to enjoy a soft drink refreshment.
Your walking tour will draw to an end at the sea front of Mykonos Town. Here, you’ll be given the option of either returning to the ship by shuttle bus from the edge of town, or staying to further explore on your own and returning at leisure.
