Train to Gallura

Drive to Tempio Pausania, the ‘City of Stone’, and take a walk through the granite, tree-lined streets which are overlooked by the dominating Mount Limbara. Your guide will point out key landmarks and you’ll have a little time to shop for local products and souvenirs.

At the beautifully preserved liberty-style station, board a traditional steam train and set off for a journey through Gallura – the greenest part of Sardinia. Enjoy the panoramic views of this stunning area and pause near the shore of Lake Liscia to tuck into provincial nibbles and sip Italian wine. And when the conductor rings his bell, it’s time to hop back aboard and chug along to Arzachema, from where you’ll be whisked back to your ship.
