Just a 20 minute boat ride away, set in a strategic position within the sheltered mouth of the lower reaches of Cork Harbour, is the 104 acre Spike Island. Your exclusive Spike Island guide will meet you at the pier for the short walk to join the boat for the ride across.

As you step foot onto Spike Island, your guide will take you on a fascinating tour, bringing the history to life. You’ll learn of smugglers, discover the artillery fortifications that were built to protect the island, and hear stories of the convicts that were detained on the island. There will be some free time to explore independently, before taking the return boat to Cobh.
