When you arrive at the Mah Meri Cultural Village on Carey Island, you’ll be greeted with the traditional welcome ceremony and a welcome drink, then you’ll be invited into the cultural village. After a spectacular performance of the Mah Meri Mask dance you’ll have a chance to mingle with the friendly locals and learn about their customs. Enjoy interactive demonstrations, such as palm-leaf origami for making clothes and costumes, attending a mock wedding, and entering a blowpipe competition. You’ll also be treated to some of their tasty local snacks, including Ketupat Rice and Otak - Otak fish cakes.
