Take a hike led by professional mountain guides along the rugged trails of the Morne Brabant Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  As you trek through the lush forest keep your eyes peeled for the unique plants and animals, such as rusa deer, wild pigs and mongooses, as well as native plant species including the rare Trochetia Boutoniana, the national flower of Mauritius. You’ll also learn how this beautiful, wild landscape was a former sanctuary for runaway slaves. This trail is appropriate to allow people of all ages and fitness levels to enjoy the benefits of being outdoors as well as offer an opportunity for thrills, excitement, fun and enjoyment along the way. Take in for some photographic views of the illuminated lagoons and the towering Chamarel range as the trail weaves its way to the viewpoint of the mountain providing a rare 360º tour of the peninsular and its lands. Head next to Le Chamarel Restaurant, where the only thing as delightful as the food is the unique bird’s-eye view over a mountainous landscape.
