Enjoy a short scenic ride out of Riga to a pine forest on the banks of Lake Jugla, to the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia. Founded in 1924, it’s one of Europe’s oldest outdoor museums, and it holds around 120 historical buildings from all over Latvia. Your guided walk will take you through different regions of Latvia, visiting farmsteads, windmills, pubs, wooden churches, and more, all built between the 16th and 20th centuries. A Latvian folklore group will also introduce you to typical traditions and customary folk costumes. Then ride through Riga’s boulevards to view the amazing architecture.
