A Taste of Sweden

After a relaxing panoramic tour of Stockholm’s modern city centre and business areas, take a guided walk through the narrow alleyways and cobbled streets of Gamla Stan, the renowned Old Town. You’ll see the Royal Palace, Cathedral and colourful homes dating back to the 16th century, and admire the Nobel (Prize) Museum, which is housed in the old Stock Exchange, in the Great Square, Stortorget. Then watch the traditional production of the famous, handmade candy cane, Polkagris, at Gamla Stans Polkagriskokeri, a charming 19th-century store and candy factory. After learning about the candy cane’s intriguing origins, you’ll sample four different varieties.
