Skyline Gondola and Luge

Soak up sky-high views over Rotorua and feel the thrill of a luge ride.

Be sure to bring your camera for the gondola ride up the side of Mount Ngongotaha to the Skyline adventure park. At 1,600 feet above sea level, it’s the perfect place to chill out and treat yourself to a drink or bite in the café while taking in the breath-taking vistas encompassing Rotorua city, Lake Rotorua and the sprawling geothermal landscape.

Ready for a rush? Strap on a helmet and choose one of the three sealed luge tracks that cater for different skill levels. Riding in a three-wheel cart with an easy-to-use steering and braking system, you’ll feel the breeze in your hair as you wind through the redwood forest. Will you go fast or take it slow to admire the views?

Hop off halfway down the mountain and take a ski chair back to the top for one last look at those views before the cable car ride to the bottom. Finally, relax on a panoramic city drive through Rotorua as your guide points out significant landmarks.
