Truffle Treasure

Enjoy a captivating ride through downtown Tauranga, along the waterfront and into the scenic hinterland, where you’ll find the truffiere. In addition to some of the world's highest quality kiwifruit, this area also produces the much sought after, and very expensive, black Perigord Truffle. After a warm welcome you’ll hear all about truffles, and wander through their truffiere, which boasts oak and hazel trees growing in soil where the unique truffle fungi flourishes. Watch the highly skilled truffle-hunting dog, then savour a selection of truffle-infused delights, including cheese, honey, and ice cream.
