Drive along the coast to Dénia and spend a day enjoying the beaches and cosmopolitan town.
If you’re in the mood to explore, you’re in for a treat. Stretch your legs with a walk uphill to the lovingly restored 16th-century castle and take a look around its archaeological museum and pretty gardens. Back down in town, you can wander the main street, Calle Marqués de Campo. Lined with arching trees, traditional restaurants and boutiques, it’s the ideal place to treat yourself to souvenirs, lunch and possibly a sangria or two.
Prefer to simply chill out? Les Marines beach stretches for nearly two miles with a gradual slope into the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, so it’s easy to find a quiet spot for a splash or a spot of sunbathing. Take a stroll and you’ll discover some small dunes as well as a selection of cafés and restaurants looking out at the horizon.
