North Cape (cruise-by), Norway
Norway's North Cape on Magerøya Island is at the northerly edge of the European continent. This sail by gives you the perfect opportunity to admire the towering granite cliffs - the edge of a mighty plateau rising 307 metres above the Arctic ocean. This wild, craggy coastline at the northerly edge of the European continent is home to millions of seabirds in the summer months, including puffins and gannets. Also, keep a look out for whales feeding in the plankton-rich waters - orca, Minke, humpback and pilot whales are all possibilities. And you're almost guaranteed to see seals. So, take a window seat in your favourite area of the ship, have your camera at the ready and enjoy miles of magnificent, sub-Arctic scenery.
