What is an on-board account?

Once a payment card has been registered when checking in online and you’ve arrived on board, you’ll have an on-board account set up for you, ready to make purchases on your ship throughout your holiday. Your on-board account keeps track of your spending during your time on board, using your cruise card.

How do I buy something on board?

You’ll use your cruise card, which you’ll find outside your cabin on embarkation day, for anything you want to buy on the ship. This will be linked to the payment card you set up when you checked in online.

For help with registering your payment card, see our article ‘How do I check in online’ and navigate to step three  ‘Add a payment card’.

If you’ve already bought a drinks package, you’ll still need to present your cruise card when ordering a drink.

How do I check my on-board account?

During your holiday

You can check your on-board account in two ways.

  • Using the My Holiday online portal: You’ll have access to an on-board portal that allows you to check your on-board statement, as well as other things. Simply log in to My Holiday and click ‘On-board account’ to see a breakdown of your on-board spending.
  • Using the in-cabin TV: In the top-right corner, click ‘On-board account’ and the name of the guest you wish to view to see your on-board spending. Note: you can only view the account for guests in your cabin. For more information on My Holiday click here.

On disembarkation day

You’ll have a paper copy of your on-board account statement delivered outside your cabin on the morning of disembarkation. This will have a breakdown of everything you’ve bought throughout your time on board. We recommend keeping the paper copy for your personal reference as, once you’ve disembarked, you’ll no longer have access to your on-board account via My Holiday.

For more information, see our article ‘What is an on-board account statement?

We suggest keeping an eye on your on-board account throughout your holiday. If something is wrong, you can visit Reception on board and the issue can be resolved quickly.

How do I pay my on-board account balance?

Your on-board account balance will be taken out of your pre-registered bank account automatically on the morning of disembarkation. You can still make purchases on board right up until you leave the ship, but anything you buy after 2am on disembarkation day will show as a separate transaction.

Can I pay by cash?

We offer the convenience of a cashless environment throughout our fleet. However, if you wish to pay your on-board account balance in cash, you can visit Reception on embarkation day and preload your cruise card with spending money.

It looks like I’ve been charged twice for my on-board account

No need to panic. One of the charges is a holding charge; it will be released to you but the timing will depend on your bank.

For more information, see our article ‘How do I make a payment towards my holiday?’.

How much on-board credit do I have?

Any on-board spending money, whether part of your Select Price benefit, additional offer benefit or other benefits such as shareholders and military, will be added automatically to your account for you to use from your cruise card. You can check this via your on-board account statements on the My Holiday portal or in-cabin TV.

If you haven’t received your on-board spending money, please visit Reception while you’re on board.

What do I do if something related to my on-board account isn’t right?

The best thing to do is to visit Reception while you’re on board. They can usually resolve issues quickly, so you can continue enjoying your holiday.

If you notice a problem after leaving the ship, please get in touch with our Customer Contact Centre and they’ll be happy to help.
