What’s new for winter 2027-28?
We're going bigger, bolder and more in-depth in our next winter launch, with new ports added to our itineraries. Plus amazing new experiences both on board and on shore
Twice the fun in the Caribbean
Arvia has been cruising the Caribbean since she launched in 2022; now her (slightly older but not bigger) sister Iona will be joining her in the sun, offering guests double the choice for Caribbean Fly-Cruise holidays in winter 2027-28. Both ships will be sailing 14-night cruises from Barbados, Antigua, and St Kitts, taking in vibrant islands such as Tortola, St Maarten, Martinique, St Lucia and Grenada along the way.
Near identical in layout and the amenities they offer, the two newest additions to the P&O Cruises fleet are the ideal choice for fun-loving families and friends. When you’re not exploring heavenly beaches and lush interiors on shore, these beauties offer an amazing variety of dining options and leisure activities on board to keep you busy on sea days. Both feature four swimming pools (Arvia has a swim-up bar), fantastic entertainment spaces, such as Headliners Theatre, a multi-screen cinema, The Limelight Club for dinner and shows, and the more intimate live-music spot, The 710 Club. And prepare for foodie heaven with 30 bars and restaurants, including gastropub The Keel & Cow and ever-popular The Olive Grove.
Iona provides a dedicated space for teens – the chilled-out Scene, featuring interactive gaming tables as well as old-school games like Boggle and Uno, while Arvia has Mission Control, an exclusive escape game open to everyone, combining multimedia simulation and live-action storytelling.
But what really sets these two ships apart, is their beautiful SkyDomes. By day, swim in the pool, grab a pizza and enjoy views of sky and sea: by night, the space transforms into a spectacular arena, with aerial shows, deck parties and more. Whichever you choose, these perfectly appointed ships are dedicated to making your Caribbean holiday dreams a reality.

Arcadia goes big in Japan
Explore Japanese culture in greater depth with our new overnight stop in Tokyo plus calls to Kagoshima and Nagasaki. Arcadia is embarking on an extended World Cruise with an incredible new focus on the Far East. Now a whopping 124 nights long, this Western Circumnavigation Round World Cruise will include stops in South Korea and Thailand with calls in Japan for the first time since 2019.
Immerse yourself in multi-faceted Tokyo, a city steeped in tradition yet tirelessly modern and dynamic. Visit the lively fish market at Tsukiji or the historic Sensō -ji Temple in Asakusa; take in the views from the deck of the tallest tower in the world, the Tokyo Skytree (you might even spot Mount Fiji in the distance!); go window shopping in high-end Ginza or trendy Harajuku and, when you need to freshen up, relax at a traditional public bathhouse (sento), or hot spring mineral bath (onsen). As night falls, head to Shinjuku to explore the alleyways of Omoide Yokocho for street food or Golden Gai for bars, and test your lung power with a spot of karaoke. If you’re still not ready to call it quits and head back to your berth, you can brave the famously raucous clubs of Roppongi…
Providing a fascinating foil to the fast pace of Tokyo are the ports of Kagoshima in the subtropical south of Japan, famous for its volcanoes and ancient forests, and Nagasaki, home to the Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park.
As well as your deep dive into Japan, Arcadia’s World Cruise continues to feature iconic cities such as Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore and San Franciso.

A flavour of Morocco
You can now get a taste of North Africa on selected Canary Island fly-cruise holidays this winter, as Azura adds Casablanca and Agadir to her itinerary. Compare and contrast the deeply embedded Spanish culture and cuisine of the Canaries with that of nearby Morocco: swap whitewashed catholic churches for stately mosques; paella, and papas arrugadas (‘wrinkly potatoes’) for tagines and pastilla.
Agadir is a modern coastal city with fine beaches and the remains of a 16th-century fortress. Beautiful landscapes of forest, dune, cliffs and waterfalls are within easy reach if you fancy venturing further afield.
The standout landmark in Casablanca is the towering Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Africa, which sits right on the oceanfront. Stroll along the Corniche to the narrow streets of the old medina and stop for a refreshing mint tea in one of its many cafés, then visit the 1930s version, the Quartier Habous, an elegant French-colonial mashup of Moroccan and European styles. And yes, you can really visit the famous Rick’s Café from Casablanca – an atmospheric recreation of the classic film set.

Incredible days and nights in Istanbul
As she celebrates her first decade in the fleet, family favourite Britannia will be embarking on a new 21-night central Mediterranean cruise this winter, with calls to Athens, Malta and Tangiers in Morocco. The highlight of the cruise will be an overnight stop in the unique and enthralling city of Istanbul, a capital that straddles two continents, Europe and Asia. New visitors can get their bearings in the old city, Sultanahmet, on the European side, where they’ll find the imposing Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque (formerly a 6th-century Byzantine church); the Blue Mosque with its gorgeous, blue-tiled interior, and the Topkapi palace complex, which is brim-full of fascinating stories and artefacts from Istanbul’s rich history. Then grab something to eat – you’re never far from something fresh and delicious in this melting-pot city. Try lahmacun (Turkish pizza), doma (stuffed veggies), a grilled fish sandwich down on the waterfront or, of course, a proper kebab with all the trimmings.
Istanbul is world-class for shopping, whether that’s haggling for jewels and textiles in the historic Grand Bazaar or hitting the classy boutiques on İstiklal Street. Then in the evening, why not jump on a ferry across the Bosphorous to explore the Asian side of Istanbul. The neighbourhood of Kadikoy has a youthful, bohemian vibe and is crammed with lively cafés, bookshops and bars.

A cosy yet epic Grand Tour
Aurora returns to her popular South America Circumnavigation for a 75-night Grand Tour in 2028, with calls to São Paulo in Brazil, Lima in Peru and the Falkland Islands, and overnights in Brazil’s lively Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo in Uruguay and San Antonio, USA.
With such a fabulous itinerary, you need to travel in style. Elegant Aurora is our smallest ship and a stylish choice for adults-only who love the finer things in life. Cosy and intimate as she is, Aurora still offers three pools, 19 bars and restaurants and seven entertainment venues – such as Carmen’s show lounge – to while away your sea days. She also boasts her own art gallery, while artworks adorn the public spaces across the vessel, including a towering 35-foot water sculpture in the atrium.
Soak up the stunning scenery and landscapes as you venture forth. The Grand Tour features countless unforgettable experiences, including scenic cruising around Cape Horn and through the Beagle Channel and Magellan Straits, plus a full transit of the Panama Canal. Modern architecture buffs will love São Paulo, home to the 1929 Martinelli skyscraper and Oscar Niemeyer’s curvy Edifício Copan, while nature lovers will spot penguins galore in the Falklands, as well as sea lions, dolphins and albatross. Sights like the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Inca ruins in Lima and the glaciers of the Chilean fjords will stay with you for life. The tour rounds off with some relaxing days in the Caribbean, with stops at balmy islands including Grenada, Barbados and St Lucia.
