We’ve treated Eric Lanlard’s The Market Café on Britannia to a mouth-watering new menu and a stylish new look. Indulge in heavenly crêpes and waffles, exclusive ice cream flavours and fine pâtisserie, all in stylish new surroundings. Bon appétit!

Settle into a cosy world of temptation at The Market Café. With a fresh menu created by master pâtissier and P&O Cruises Food Hero Eric Lanlard, this luxurious haven in the heart of Britannia’s atrium offers something sweet for every palate. Collaborating with Jude’s – an award-winning, family-run dairy in Hampshire – Eric has co-created two brand-new ice creams: Toffee Apple and Cherries & Clotted Cream. The Market Café is the only place you can taste these fabulous flavours, so why not try one in a decadent sundae?

Tuck into tasty crêpes and luscious waffles from Eric’s new signature range. Or choose from a host of handmade biscuits and delectable cakes including gluten-free options. Fancy something a little finer? Eric made his name making pastries for celebrities around the world, and when you try his range of pâtisserie you’ll understand why he’s held in such high regard. Unwind with a Costa coffee and indulge in a treat with wow factor as you enjoy delicious views out to sea.

‘It was exciting to develop a new menu for The Market Café,’ says Eric. ‘I love to experiment with different ingredients and textures, and I’m really proud of the ice cream flavours I created with Jude’s dairy in Hampshire.’

Highlights of the new menu include:

Toffee Apple Crêpe

A French crêpe with Jude’s and Eric Lanlard Toffee Apple Ice Cream, baby apples, fudge pieces and caramel pearls

Red Velvet and Frosted Berry Waffle

A red velvet waffle with frosted mixed berries, Jude’s and Eric Lanlard Cherries & Clotted Cream Ice Cream and hot white chocolate sauce

Fine pâtisserie:

Chocolate Salted Caramel Mille-feuille – caramelised puff pastry with dark Maracaibo chocolate mousse and salted butter caramel sauce

St Clement Chocolate Cup – blood orange cream, stewed apples, cinnamon and apple popcorn (gluten free)

Lemon and Yuzu Tart – Japanese citrus fruit

Cakes:

Dark Chocolate Layer Cake (vegan)

Mini Victoria Sandwich

White Chocolate Cupcake with a Lemon Curd Centre

To reflect the new menu, we’ve refreshed The Market Café’s décor to create a warmer feel. New furniture throughout the venue makes for an easily accessible and more comfortable experience.
